Mons. Samuele Sangalli was born in Lecco in 1967. In 1995 he was ordained priest by the archbishop of Milan Card. Carlo Maria Martini.
From 1992 to 1997 he was spiritual assistant to the group of drug addicted persons called Alleluia (Milan) as well as teacher of Catholic theology at “B. Zucchi” (Monza) high school.
From 1997 to 1999 he was assistant pastor “Santa Maria del Rosario” (Milano) parish.
He was a Visiting Scholar at the Faculty of Divinity, University of Cambridge (UK) in 2000.
From 2001 to 2009 he acts as spiritual assistant to Villa Nazareth College (Roma). Durint that time he studies at Pontifical Gregorian University and at LUISS Guido Carli University.
In 2010 he founds Oikia community to which he continues to serve in the role of spiritual assistant. He becomes the Chaplain of His Holiness on 26 September 2010.
He currently work as official at the Congregation for bishops and as spiritual director for the Benedictine sisters of charity at S. Marinella (Rome).
His academic positions include: Assistant professor of philosophy and culture at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Director of “Sinderesi” school at the Center for faith and culture Alberto Hurtado (PUG) dedicated to the formation of youth for active citizenship.
He also teaches courses at the Roman University “LUISS Guido Carli”, specifically a course on ethics of professions (at the Department of Law) and a course on Global governance through interreligious dialogue (at the Department of political science).
Last but not least he is assistant for theoretical philosophy at the Pontifical Beda College in Rome. The College is affiliated with “St Mary’s University College”, Twickenham, London (UK).
