Umberto Rossi

UMBERTO ROSSI“I wanted to become a sociologist” recounts Rossi, but various circumstances of life led him to become an important figure for the students of social communication of the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Centro Interdisciplinare della Comunicazione Sociale (CICS) as a technical collaborator in the Pontifical Gregorian University.

From 1978 to 1997 he attended the university as a guest student alternating his work, attending some courses of the Faculties of Social Sciences, Philosophy and Missiology.

Among the various activities he carries out, he takes care of the technical part of the multimedia language course. He makes available to students, in addition to his knowledge, the necessary tools for recording short films that students must present at the end of the term.

The most rewarding aspect for Umberto is to follow the development of students during their academic training. “It’s nice to work with students from all over the world and see how some of them, with whom I have shared wonderful academic experiences, have now become directors of the press office, radio, TV presenters, and so on”.

Speaking with Umberto, therefore, enables you to have the opportunity to learn about different stories, characters and facts that happened in our University.

For about four years he has been in charge of recording and editing videos of conferences, lectures and university events.
